I feel it was a bit small for an art museum but they do have a wonderful permanent collection, and occasionally have a must see exhibit travel through. I most recently saw a Jamie Wyeth exhibit a few months ago.

This is one of the first art museums I have been to, so I am not an expert. My daughter really enjoyed the visit and there is a lot to see here.

This was the museum we chose to reach via the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk. It was my first time to stroll this part of the river. What a wonderful experience! I love this museum and have visited over and over and over again. I love their collection and really enjoy the creative ways they've chosen to display it. This... More

Visited the museum on our second to last day in San Antonio. Was sorry we missed the free entry by about 2 hours. Pleasant staff. Efficient. Clean and welcoming. The exhibits were great and educational and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the museum

The building itself was very nice, but the displays were just average. Nothing really special that stood out to me. Probably okay for people who want exposure to different kinds of art including Egyptian, Chinese, Greek and Roman.

We were strolling down the Riverwalk toward the main touristy part of town when we inadvertently got on the path on the wrong side of the river and wound up at the entrance to the museum. We took advantage of Tuesday, free admission and loved seeing Michael Cavarubbios. In the first half of the 20th century, Michael/Miguel's artwork and celebrity... More

You might say that the Art museum was off the beaten path, but our family of four did enjoy the tour for six hours. Each of us had our unique interests in arts and felt satisfied. The cons was that we needed to leave early for the show that night.

I went with my son and his girlfriend knowing I would be on my own for a few hours. I was sure I was going to be bored wandering around by myself, but I was wrong. It is such a lovely place. I hadn't been to an art museum since I lived in Chicago and went to all the museums... More

Lovely museum with a wide range of art and artifacts. Small collection but nice variety. Free on Tuesdays 4-9pm by H-E-B. I liked pretty much everything. Like I said their collection is small which is sad, but I did enjoy what they had. Free parking!
