We attended the children's theater play ROXABOXEN over the weekend with grand daughters ages 5 and 7. The theater may be somewhat old but there is plenty of leg room and seats are of average comfort. There are no bad seats. Prices are reasonable to see a live, well directed professional play that held the children's interest. The story is... More

The Magik Children's theatre is in a fantastic part of downtown San Antonio. It is adjacent to not only the Tower of the Americas, but La Villita and a park with a great playground. The theatre itself is a no frills establishment which only adds to its charm. They exist to entertain kids and their audience only needs a place... More

My review is based on the building itself. Wow, it is retro and induces smiles. I enjoyed their sign the best! There are unique things to see on the grounds too which included a child's size building that was fun to see.

I took my 6 yr old granddaughter to see Treasure Island for her birthday and she LOVED it! Although you can't take pictures during the play, you can meet the characters afterwards and get autographs and take pics with them! After the show, we went outside and found a playground adjacent to the theatre where she played on swings, slides,... More

A group of us went to see the Sunday afternoon show of the Magician's Agency with Scott Pepper as the magician. The crowd was light, but he performed like it was a packed house. It was a great show and the kids had a great time. Very interactive. We would definitely come again?

We enjoyed the magic show. The tricks were great, and left us wondering. There was a parking lot right by the theater for $10. The magician, Scott Pepper was a great performer, funny and talented. Highly recommend as a nice way to get out of the heat and relax watching a neat show.

We have had season tickets the last 3 years and I can only think of two shows we didn't just love. They have a great variety of humorous, musicals, and touching plays. I love that they come from books and usually have a twist to them. The location with the playground is wonderful and the available parking in the SAISD... More

The Magik Theater in downtown San Antonio is a wonderful way to introduce children to live theater. The theater is kid friendly, the decor is bright and enticing and the performance we saw was an hour in length-just right for a child's attention span. We purchased admission online. There were no printed tickets, they have your name on a list... More

A last minute idea that made the kids smile. The theatre presented Charlie Brown Christmas. It was a wonderfully light performance that kept the crowd laughing with some interaction with the audience. The parking situation was under construction which made for a terrible rush to the door as to not be late. The cast was available to meet after the... More

We came here in late November and saw a early-season showing of A Charlie Brown's Christmas. The play was very well done! Wonderful performance by the cast, sets, music, production quality. And the message of the play can't be beat - Jesus is the Reason for the season! The kids really, really enjoyed this. I feel like we always forget... More
