The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

My husband and I just returned from visiting San Antonio, Texas and the thing that I enjoyed most of all was walking through the River Walk at night. It was one of the most romantic places that I have ever visited. They offer something for...More

The river walk is far over rated by all. It is simply a dirty river with narrow sidewalks on the side. Often times it is too crowed to enjoy yourself and it seems like the hottest place in San Antonio. I think that many attractions...More

There are a ton of restaurants to choose from on the river walk and the boat taxi and river cruise are nice as well. It is a pretty walk

This is a very nice place to eat and drink in a very relaxing and open air setting. Plenty of choices for food or beverages.

A must see when visiting SA. Walk along the beautiful tree lined sidewalks. Lots of restaurants and outdoor entertaining that all ages can enjoy.

Certain parts are beautiful, certain parts are boring. It was kind of confusing to find your way around also. The prettiest and busiest parts are by the Riverwalk Mall, I highly recommend starting there. Definitely do the boat tours!!! It’s stroller friendly also, we went...More

Most of River Walk is quiet - no restaurants, no shops, no people...so it's a nice place for a stroll. The busy area is quite touristy. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants and the shops didn't offer anything we'd be interested in.

Clean, beautiful and safe for tourists. Lots of tourist attractions. We stayed south of the main tourist area on the River Walk and it was an easy walk to get to anywhere. We took the tour boat as well as the river taxi to get...More

The area is small very crowded and all there really is is some small shops and restaurants that are way overpriced. Some of the areas of the walk are very dark and a few homeless people asking for money.

Are you looking to stay downtown or out of the city? First, I really recommend making reservations early because The Alamo Bowl books up most hotels quickly, at a premium. If you want to stay near the historic Riverwalk... More
