The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

The Riverwalk is interesting and there are a variety of things to do. Many restaurants and lots of shopping. The boat tours look fabulous. There were quite a few areas that are either vacant or u see construction, but for the most part very nice

Be prepared to maneuver through vast throngs of folks concentrating on their smart phones, gaucking, basically in their own world and not paying attention to where they were going.

I stayed in San Antonio for about 10 weeks just minutes from the riverwalk. I walked it a bunch and it's very beautiful. So much to see and do.

Nice cool walk under street noise with lots of interesting places to stop and eat and/or drink. To appreciate the best start by seeing the overall picture with a boat tour.

Delightful to stroll The Riverwalk, especially in the beautiful weather of October. Clean, quaint, and relaxing. Whether you walk or take a river taxi, it is charming. Many wonderful places to eat and shop along the ay.

Yes, it's commercialized, and yes it's an engineering marvel. But you can't take away the fact that the Riverwalk is charming, romantic and beautiful...with a seemingly endless supply of restaurants and cocktails. Food is excellent and the ambiance is top notch...almost everywhere you go.

We've never been to San Antonio before but we really enjoyed the history of the Alamo. It is a must see attraction.

15 years ago the river walk was great. However, they need to keep more security down there. We watched one black man slap around another and yell all kinds of profanities at him. No police or security anywhere in site. When they finally showed up,...More

There are elevators or help get around from the the Riverwalk to the street attractions. Some of the Riverwalk area is cobblestone and some areas are narrow, but I have seen wheelchairs and strollers get through. As for the... More
