First time here and the Riverwalk is a joy. A nice slow paced stroll that goes forever. Many touristy shops and restaurants and bars. A good place to people watch. The river taxi is nice. A lot of edit points to get back up to the streets and hotels.

Many restaurants to choose from of varying cuisine and price points. If it's warm out, choose a table by the water and watch the boats go by!

This area is not only filled with restaurants, shops and people, but has lots of places to just sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the river.

We walked at least 2 miles every day on the RiverWalk even though at times it was pouring down rain. We loved everything about it! The number of great restaurants to choose from was marvelous as well.

Photos do not do any justice to the San Antonio River walk! It is just so beautiful. There are so many things to do there, shop, eat, boat ride etc. One of my favorite spots in the US

Lots of see from restaurants to hotels to shops. There is lots of at work along the way too. I walked all through the downtown section and then out to the Pearl brewery. I recommend it, so much to see that the distance goes quickly.

Would highly highly recommend this!! It was absolutely stunning, considering you were in a city centre the size of San Antonio. It was clean and inviting. There were ducks and other birds, as well as squirrels. The river is clean. The boat tours do not interfere with the tourist walking on either side of the river. There are lots of... More

The river walk is a loop in the downtown area that gives you access to tons of restaurants, bars, shops, and hotels. There are a ton of great restaurants and you can even take boat tours through the river. I was there at lunch time but I imagine its teh place to be in the evening.

Want to get some exercise and yet have good views to get your mind off of the walking? This is the place. Plenty of places to sit if you get tired. Take the river tour or river taxi to get another view. Don't forget to visit both day and night and bring your camera.

The day after Thanksgiving, they light up the Riverwalk and it somehow becomes even more beautiful. Then on weeknds in December, they add luminarias along the river. Go early in the month before they get trampled and are missing.
