The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

The 'river' is really a narrow canal that winds around a number of hotels and restaurants. We walked along the canals but it was too warm for us to sit outside for dinner/drinks etc... even though the restaurants were quite busy.

Beautiful, pleasant, easy to walk, good to spend time with your family, has a lot of restaurant options. You can also catch a boat tour.

This was not something that I was impressed by. The walk is nice along the artificial river, which is lined with cheesy restaurants, as motorboats filled with tourists plow up and down scattering the ducks. This is the main attraction of the city, and I...More

I would feel comfortable on the Riverwalk at night as a single woman. I like Casa de Rio with their colorful umbrellas and Boudro's for dining.
