The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

I really enjoy the river walk despite its heavy tourist appeal. It a cool shaded way to get around the area with some shops and a lot of touristy restaurants.

My wife and I honeymooned here 37years ago, so of course it is our favorite place to visit. We walk early in the morning and later in the evening. Of course there are plenty of places to dine. The beautiful flora, fauna and architecture cannot...More

After viewing and taking pics with the Bean, we took a 5 minute walk along Michigan Avenue to the River Walk. We entered going down the stairs off the DuSable Bridge. There's a lower level to the bridge where you can peacefully view the river....More

River Walk is one of the biggest reasons we selected our hotel where we did. Everything is within walking distance, and there is so much to see and do. Without seeing signs or even knowing it's there, River Walk would be perfectly hidden. Unknowing travelers...More

We both enjoyed walking around the river. It was cooler that walking around the top side. There is so many restaurants to pick from. It is a have to do when in San Antonio.

The river walk is great to see & experience but is very very crowded. Nice restaurants and a little cooler then city streets in the summer. Recommend see at least once

We visited when it was hot, but I know we would have walked more if it wasn't so hot. We took a boating cruise on the river walk and it was wonderful. We plan to come back around december next time.

We stayed in the Perl district and walked into town everyday via the River Walk. It is absolutely beautiful with many restaurants and hotels lining its banks. Stunning!!

Yes, boat tours are pet friendly. However I think restaurants you would need to speak with prior to entering. Outdoor dining I think wouldn’t be a problem at all on the Riverwalk. I also know The Omni La Maision is pet... More

I saw some rental scooters while we were there, so they must exist. Google that and you should be able to find the company.
