This is a historic place. A good place to go listen to the docent tour. Wonderful preserved historic place. Love the White dove of the desert.

Besides providing a stunning view of San Xavier church, the plaza has a unique labyrinth. It took a while to figure out the route to take because it's very different from most labyrinths. Around the plaza's edge local Native Americans have set up grills. So the aroma of grilled meats and fresh tortillas waft through the air. The day I... More

More than anything, be respectful of those in the chapel who are praying. Great handiwork, but needs a lot of $ for restoration.

Fantastic old mission church with history and character. Visit the side chapel as well. In the parking lot indulge in fresh cooked indian fry bread (with green cile my favorite) Short 20 minute drive from downtown. Maybe visit on your way to the airport?

What a nice respite. Calm serene place to reflect and admire the beautiful architecture. A quick stop straight from the airport.

Have visited this church several times, and the restoration was finally finished this last time. It is one of, if not the oldest church in Arizona. I have visited in the winter and the summer. In the summer the local dogs actually wandered in and layed down on the floor during a mass to beat the heat. Interesting place to... More

This is a place that shows a lot of history. When we went there was a wedding taking place. So we were invited in the celebration.

I have been to the San Xavier Mission many, many times. I take all my friends and relatives here whenever they visit. This is an awesome historical place.
