Challenging and fun hike

Nice visit. $5.00 entry fee per car. $10.00 per person to ride the tram (an open vehicle) which lasts approximately 45 minutes. Tram riders can get off and on again at designated stops or remain on the entire time. Tram driver narrates points of interest along the way. Very nice experience with interesting views. There are many trails, we did... More

We did the 7 Falls hike and had a blast. It was challenging enough for us (we're active) but still enjoyable. Loved the adventure of crossing the stream 7 times. The falls had a good amount of water. We were glad we had waterproof hiking shoes - good footwear makes a great difference. The only complaint is that parking is... More

Amazing place! We took the shuttle to the last stop - over the overflowing bridges - and then hiked for half an hour beyond that. Beautiful rock formations, cool rocks everywhere, views. The only reason we didn't stay longer and explore more is because it was raining and cold. I want to come back when the sun is out. The... More

Hiking at its best. Whatever your level of endurance you can find a trail here to satisfy your want. Well traveled and maintained. Just remember to take plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, walking stick and good hiking shoes. Check to make sure trails are open. At times the snows run off will have them closed or difficult to cross. Loose... More

I went on a night hike here with a group and its a very easy walk. The path is paved. The elevation is gradual. You can hear the stream this time of year early on the path but it takes a bit before you can see it. the first bridge is beautiful when the water is there. it falls off... More

Rugged Saguaro-dotted hillsides contrasted with deep blue skies; gorgeous! Take the tram up to the top and walk down part way or all the way on the paved road. In the winter, water may be rushing over the bridges and forming reflection pools along the way.

I was lucky to visit on a cool 75 degree day with gorgeous billowing clouds drifting by. Very impressed with the National Forest's effort to truly preserve this beautiful canyon, I was amazed at the use of trams to still give access to those of us with time or bodies to hike up and back through this national treasure. Next... More
