Paved loop road for cars and bikes winds through the east (Rincon Mountain) segment of Sugauaro National Park. Lots of spots to pull off the road and hike through the Sonoran Desert. Mountain views and lots of cacti to see.

No matter how many Saguaro cactus you see, they are all different and beautiful. So many seem to be reaching out to welcome you. It's so dramatic.

We had family visiting and were looking for something that wasn’t super labor intensive so we decided to do this 8 mile drive. It was worth it. All of the pull offs and places to learn about the area, take pictures and do a little...More

Eight mile or so loop of native cacti and expansive views in the Tucson valley. Beautiful and unique to Tucson. Go early or late in the day before closing to see more birds and animals. We always drive visitors and homebound family members through here....More

So close to Tucson. Great that people had the vision to protect a parcel of desert instead of developing it.

Too many people take this short drive too fast - if you want to enjoy it and see any wildlife - SLOW DOWN. Take the short walks (with water). Lots of photo opportunities and great scenery. Glad to see the cacti are making a comeback...More

This is a fantastic Drive, but they need more information on the geology. At the park office there are volumes on the Flora and fauna, and only one photo copied sheet on the geology. The drive is beautiful. Stop, get out, and look.

This 9 mile one way Loop is the main thing to do in the East Side of the park. Small visitor center with a short film as well.

We enjoyed seeing the many types of cactus and birds. It was very peaceful, I would suggest going early or late to avoid the tourists during the mid day peak on weekends.
