In the shadow of the Tucson Convention center is this beautiful gem of history tucked away and wonderfully preserved. The guidebooks said it should be open. Drove an hour only to find it closed and locked. No signs telling why. Very disappointed. I peeked over the wall and the courtyard looked nice. I am a history buff and not much history is preserved in Tucson. So this was deflating.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit the house and write a review. We apologize for the museum being closed when you visited last March. The Arizona Historical Society reopened the Sosa-Carrillo-Fremont House in March of 2015, after 6 years of the house being closed. Reopening the house took a lot of work, from cleaning, curating, and repairing... More

You really get a sense of what life was like in Tucson 100-200 years ago. Great way to spend 20 mins to an afternoon. I like it, but it's probably not good... More
