Nice- easy to do in a morning. Give yourself 2 hours and make a reservation for a small snack at the restaurant!

Not difficult to follow the trails and the Butterfly Garden A MUST. The restaurant, I remembered reading something about the lady that runs the concession. WAS incredible! My... read more

Not difficult to follow the trails and the Butterfly Garden A MUST. The restaurant, I remembered reading something about the lady that runs the concession. WAS incredible! My son and I had an empanada with lamb, ceveche and a cake to die for. I still drool when I think about the culinary tastes....

What a surprise! So many gardens in one - on just 5 ½ acres! Entrancing pathways spiral through bewitching cactus groves, herb & zen gardens, and even an outdoor cafe. Tile fountains splash softly as you wander past the many secret shaded spots - some with chairs just for two - so you can sit in semi-seclusion & savor the... More

We almost missed this place as it wasn't where we would have expected it to be right across the street from a residential area. We were able to get the last non handicapped parking space. The isn't much parking so you should arrive early in the day to be guaranteed a spot, not sure what you would do if there... More

We came for the Frida Kahlo Exhibit and the Butterfly House. Both were Great---not to mention the 5 acres of beautiful plants and walk ways. Much history to read about and enjoy, as these grounds started out as a private residence years ago. We ate at the Botanical Cafe too---what fun---artisanal food served in a beautiful, outdoor setting....I would definitely... More

The gardens are lovely. The butterfly exhibit runs from late fall - spring with butterflies from all over the world in a windowed room filled with many different plants. The butterfly exhibit is in a relatively small room, so a party of 20 wouldn't work well unless you split into smaller groups; 5 to 10 would be OK. You walk... More

My family and I came to the Botanical Gardens on a Sunday, before the weather gets too hot to do anything outdoors in Tucson. My two year old nephew absolutely loves flowers right now and he was excited to see all the different plants at the Gardens. Butterfly Magic was just wonderful for him. He was scared at first to... It was one of our warmer spring days and everything was in bloom and beautiful! It offers various information and tours of its grounds. We were there for a special occasion & they did a great job. Go early in warmer weather.

We went to see the butterfly exhibit. That part was great. But the flowers and cacti were amazing. Exotic trees. Many things were blooming. We had such a great time. Lots of data on gardening in the desert. Recommended to lots of friends who said that they had been and were going back.

I just paid a return visit because they have a specail Freda Kahlo garden show right now, but one of the highlights this time of year is the butterfly house. Kids love to watch the garden miniature train. I love to learn to identify local plants and get ideas for planting in my own garden. Plus, they have one of... More

My husband and I went to see the Frida Kahlo gardens and I was so impressed! Very well done and I took so many pictures of the well kept plants and flowers. The description plaques helped with the description of each area and explained Frida's love for gardening and art. We loved that the Botanical Gardens is small. Don't have... More
