This was one of the best missions I have ever seen. The atmosphere inside was so spiritual. I enjoyed learning that every thing they placed on one side has either the exact same one the other side or a simulation of it.

To visit the mission is to step back in history and into a spiritual world. When we visited, there was a renovation team working to restore some of the minor woodwork and paint. It was good to see that the mission building is being preserved....More

Very peaceful and a well known tourist attraction in the Tucson Area. The church is missing part but nothing takes away from its beauty.

The mission is quite a way out of town, seemingly in the middle of nowhere because it's on a reservation. It's truly beautiful. Also worth seeing are the shops run by Tohono O'Odham adjacent. I found tepary beans! And some really nice souvenirs.

What a beautiful building, and not too far off the main highway. Lots of great artifacts and history here. The place is definitely a find.

My husband and I visited our daughter in Tucson. She works at the university of AZ in the museum. She suggested we visit the Mission. It's so beautiful inside. We met some of the archivists working there because our daughter worked with them. You definitely...More

The church appears to be in original condition -- actively used by worshippers. Gift shop has a section of locally produced goods.

I was humbled to be able to visit the Mission. The architect and art are beautiful and amazing. At the mission ladies were cooking fresh Fry Bread and truly recommend the visit to anyone seeing a part of history.

I don't know about the handicap access. But if you are staying on the southwest side of Tucson, it is such a short drive south that it is probably worth the trip to check it out even if it isn't HC accessible. Just being... More
