We always advise our guests to visit the Mission. Take the docent led tour and watch the video. Best to go on a sunny day so you can enjoy the surroundings.

There was a ceremony going on so we saw beautiful Hispanic costumes. Because of the event didn't spend a lot of time in the cathedral as I would have liked. Very reasonable gift shop. Enjoyed the Museum and seeing the original foundation. Light a candle for loved ones. Candles are only $3.00. Very nice.

I went to the mission about 20 years ago for the first time. My visit yesterday was as good as the first time that I went in there. It's timeless and ageless, deeply loved by the community ....cherished by philanthropic Community too.

This beautifully maintained mission was built by and serves the Tohono O'odham Native American community just outside Tucson. The facility is well maintained and there are frequent docent led tours. My favorite stop was a casket w a statue of St Francis, festooned with tiny Milagros from faithful who seek heavenly intervention. There is also a small but interesting museum... More

We went to the mission on the advice of a friend. So glad we listened. We opted to go on the tour rather than by ourselves, and so glad we did. Our guide was so knowlegable, pointing out all of the history and combining it with todays interests. A definite "do" if you're in the Tucson area!!!

This beautiful mission is being restored and both interior/exterior are wonderful to see. It is known as the "White Dove of the Desert" and you will see why - against the blue Sonoran sky it is quite spectacular. The intricately designed interior gives a true feel of the old Spanish missions. There is a small chapel off to the left,... More

Built in the classical Spanish colonial style, the church is dedicated to Francis Xavier and is filled with statues and icons. The inside is beautiful and peaceful. The attached museum is informative and interesting.

I live locally to this Mission and have never visited. My family from out of state wanted to go sightseeing in my area. I couldn't wait to take them to this magnificent church. There was a brief video explaining the history and sights we were about to see. After visiting the church and museum we decided to say for the... More
