Our visit was on Christmas Day! The Museum was closed, tour guides were not available (are they usually?) and we really didn't see the Church as tourists because we attended Mass. If I hadn't been there years ago I would have been terribly disappointed.

It’s quite pretty and well-kept. It definitely captures the history of the area. Without doing the tour, we spent 30-40 minutes here just poking around. Kids must be quiet in the church as it’s an active place of worship.

A very ancient church which was built in 1783. The exterior is lovely and the interior is amazing with so much details. Very peaceful place...There is a museum and gift shop as well.

We visited the church at dusk on Dec 23, 2017. The exterior and interior of the Church had extensive carvings and paintings and tilework. It had scalloped handmade pews inside the church and was strung with glittery old fashioned Christmas garland inside. It was FABULOUS....More

This was not a typical visit to a church. They provided a free tour guide and got a lot more info then the basics. She throughly enjoyed her job.(volunteer) Enjoyed the 2 hours we spent there.

My wife loves visiting Spanish missions (she has seen all but two of those in California), so we could not pass this by. It has been remodeled fairly recently in historic terms, so its attraction was its location on its site (very dramatic perch on...More

Exquisite National Historical landmark! Referred to as the "White Dove of the Desert"! During the holiday period, several additional masses were available. Authenticity breathes throughout this beautiful mission. When in Tucson--this is a MUST SEE attraction.

I don't know about the handicap access. But if you are staying on the southwest side of Tucson, it is such a short drive south that it is probably worth the trip to check it out even if it isn't HC accessible. Just being... More
