Did not expect the variety when we decided to stop at this little house with the open sign out front. Hand made candy and more beautiful items. Since we were in upper Maine in early May there were a lot of places not open yet. Monica's is open year round and she does a good online business. Gave us samples... More

Stopped in here on a whim after all who can resist chocolate! We were met by Monica, a very pleasant Peruvian woman. All chocolate is made on site and is delicious! I was intrigued by the jewelry and sweaters that she imports from Peru. The sweaters are beautiful and soooo soft! Bought one for a gift and considering returning to... More

We stopped by Monica's expecting to see a basically Chocolate Shop, however soon after we entered we became well aware that there was a variety of not only high priced chocolates but clothing , jewelry, books, tee shirts and other forms of high end tourist gadgetry. The volume and variety was great however for us...frankly it removed itself from being... More

When you go to Lubec you have to stop in Monica's. Her chocolates are like none other. And all her jewelry & sweaters, scarfs, & mittens are the best Peruvian wool around. Monica is a very sweet lady & she even gives you a sample of her best chocolate.

Being a chocolate lover I had to be sure we stopped here. We were greeted at the door by a lovely young lady who asked if we had been here before. Since this was our first time she took us aside and offered us a chocolate sampling and explained about how their candy is made. Very informative. We then did... More

Absolutely to die for. Whether it's bonbons for you or chocolates in the shape of moose, lobsters, and bears for those back home, this chocolate is amazing. Try the blueberry clusters- you won't regret it!

This chocolatier is one of the best! I am not a world traveler by any means, but there has to be some technique that this lady learned from her Peruvian roots. The bon bons, which are my favorite (pictured), are so very delicious, so eloquent to the palate...very rich in taste. Not only are these chocolates delicious, but they are... More

The candy is made on the premises and you may take a tour if you like. The Neehams are a Maine specialty and a must to try. There is also, inexpensive but nice jewelry. A room devoted to import items from Peru, which are of high quality. It is worth a visit. Trust me!

Absolutely delicious chocolates. We were riding past and decided to stop. Great selection of very high quality chocolates. Easily as good as Godiva.
