Modern, spacious (for a small town), and easy to explore. this a real working harbor. Very few pleasure boats-even in summer. It's nice to walk around and see the displays, the birds and sea lions, and the plantings. The harbor office has a little gift...More

Definitely take time to visit this harbor, and watch (and listen to!) the sea lions. Also, look at the info boards describing the high water marks after recent tsunamis, it’s almost hard to believe.

I would say this is a great rest stop. You can look at the boats; watch the sea galls flying around enjoying the day. I recommend anyone on a road trip to check out the harbor and local restaurants. Swell place to 😁 unwind and...More

We were here on Labor Day Sunday, so the area was extremely crowded, especially since we were parked near the Chart House. It is an easy area to find and provides a great view of harbor as well as there was plenty of seals and/or...More

While we were having lunch, we could hear the seals barking in the distance. After lunch we went to investigate and take some pictures. The seals didn't disappoint. Sometimes, they swim pretty close to the end of the point where you stand for great pictures....More

This was a really nice little stop along the coast to view the seals (and/or sea lions). They were doing a lot of "barking", I took a video of them with my phone & you can hear them clearly. The little gift shop in the...More

Unlike Fishermen's Wharf in San Francisco, there's no one to compete with you for a viewing spot. Some seals will swim up to you thinking you have food for them so you get to see them up close. It's fun watching then glide through water.

The Crescent City Harbor is a nice place to visit. To eat or just observe the fishing boats coming and going, sailboats, you have it all. The Battery Point Lighthouse and the seals are a bonus.

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon, we should have allowed a little more time. We walked around the boat docks, reading the names of the boats. Then we went to watch the people fishing and crabbing. We didn't see any catching fish but there...More

The best area to see the Sea Lions is from the sidewalk along the Chart Room restaurant on the south side of the harbor. This is normally as close as you can get to them as they rest on the three groups of docks that are... More
