Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park is right by the visitor center. My 6 year old had a blast and. The park is huge with lots of places to picnic.

The bathrooms were nasty. There was no toilet paper. The picnic tables had bird crap all over them (they all needed pressure washed). We had a lady sitting in her car right outside watching the kids. None of the kids belonged to her. She smoked cig after cig. Now, perhaps the kids gave her much joy; maybe she needed that. But it was strange. And a few random people hanging out by the restroom. If this is a city facility, perhaps the city should monitor it a little more.
Luckily, the beach and lighthouse were close. But this place turned out to be a total dud.

This place is awesome for kids but keep an eye on your kids!
watch out for the homeless and splinters as it's made out of wood and not kept up very well since the city can't afford it I guess

In the heart of Crescent City right near the ocean is this beautifully maintained park that will keep the kids busy and having fun. It is quite large with lots to do.

This a large flat open space with a few trees. There is plenty of free parking, a wonderful playground, and lots of oceanfront to see while you are enjoying Frisbee or a picnic. The visitor's center and a lovely indoor pool are at one end, and a small dog park is at the other. The park also is home to the marine mammal rescue center which is worth visiting - and supporting. The park is also right along the Coastal trail, so you can walk a long way north or south, seeing the pier, the jetty, and the beautiful lighthouse. There is also a soccer field. No tennis, baseball, volleyball or music area though as far as I could tell. Clean restrooms and no trash anywhere when I visited. I like it a lot!

Our 1st day of vacation ended up here to have a picnic and then head to motel to rest for the upcoming day of activities in the redwoods. All going well until we were confronted with an aggressive transient up in our faces. We had to grab our food and get in our rental car and get to motel to keep the peace. I was shocked at his aggressive behavior and ended up very scared

Nice paved trail that runs along the beach. Beautiful views. You can bike or walk to the lighthouse and out on the fishing pier. The park has a playground, disc golf course, picnic tables, and restrooms.

It seems like the wind is always blowing over here. Nice place to walk along a paved path to other attractions or just take the kids to the park.
