This museum is housed in the former county jail and is well worth visiting. When you enter the main door, the first feeling you get is "uh-oh", there's nothing here. But keep walking, follow the signs, and you'll find room after room of displays and...More

The donation is mandatory. Children are offended. Employee is very rude. Employee busy talking to her own friends instead of taking care of customers.

From the outside it looks like a small town museum. We did not expect too much, but were pleasantly surprised. There are many displays featuring the history of Del Norte County. Well worth spending at least a couple of hours.

This place is packed with so many items/artifacts. The historical stories are so interesting about the earlier people in this area. Learned a lot. If you like history you should stop here if you have the time

Visiting the Historical Society was the highlight of my trip. The ladies were so helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of Crescent City. I was quite surprised by the amount of items they had on display and thoroughly enjoyed the trip back through time.

I spend just over an hour and I'm no museum fan. Could have spent 2 hours easily - it's so much to take in. Defiantly worth the stop if you're at all interested in history, development... They have some downright awesome household items & artifacts...More
