We weren't able to get close and only saw from a distance but it was beautiful. We walked the pier and happened to see the whales migrating! It was an amazing experience!

The Battery Point Lighthouse was closed when we visited, but we still enjoyed it because of its picturesque setting, the fun of walking across a path that is impassable at high tide and we spent an hour looking at tide pools and all the oystercatcher...More

You can only get to the lighthouse at low tide. While walking to the lighthouse be sure to walk down the Jetty near by.

This Lighthouse is a must see when in Crescent city. You need to pay attention to the high and low tides so that you do not get stuck on island when the tide comes in. You can obtain a listing of the tide times in...More

You first need to check the tide table for low tide and arrive near that. Lighthouse is only accessible at that time. Nice narrated tour of a Cape Cod style lighthouse. You should be able to navigate tide pool style footing.

Lighthouse is not accesable during high tide . Check tide times and contact lighthouse before visiting. You can see lighthouse from the beach .

First let me start by saying we just visited 9 outstanding lighthouses while we traveled the Oregon coast. This does not compare. We could only visit the exterior as inside was closed. What makes it interesting is you can only visit it at low tide....More

How many places are there where you can access a perfect light house easily from town, and combine it with exploring tide pools and walking on the beach? Walk out at low tide and if you are there on a weekend you might meet the...More

An adventure from start to finish! You walk to the lighthouse from a parking lot, so, don't go at high tide. The lighthouse is filled with interesting artifacts and information on the workings and importance of lighthouses. Really nice for families. Not so much for...More

My son and I love to visit the lighthouses along the west coast. This one is fairly easy to get too (at low tide) and has a docent who will give you a good history.

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.
