I was very disappointed that it wasn't open while I was there. Was able to walk over to the lighthouse island and enjoyed the beautiful ocean scene. So worth the time to stop.

Lighthouse was closed for the winter so we didn't get a tour. We were able to cross the beach over to the light house , since we visited at low tide. The area isn't the most scenic, with shady characters hanging around.

The most unique aspect of this lighthouse is that you can walk up to it only at low tide. Great views of the ocean and City from this little "island".

It’s a beautiful old spot, and a photographer’s dream. At anything but the lowest tide, you have to be pretty nimble to get to it; we decided to skip it and just enjoy the view.

Tight squeeze in the lighthouse. I ha e sent my young nieces in for the tour and they did fine with the guide. The surrounding land is beautiful but don't get stuck in the tide or you'll be stuck on the island.

I am happy to share the sight with you but again if it's wintry times dress warmer. It's another amazing place to view from the parking lot. You may be able to go across the area whereby the tide goes out ... but you will...More

You can walk over to this lighthouse in the morning during low tide. Cute little lighthouse. We weren't there when it was open to tour. Would have liked to see inside.

This historic Lighthouse has been beautifully preserved including all of the exterior buildings and surrounding buildings. We were there in the offseason so could not tour the interior which must be fascinating. The views from the lighthouse proper are stunning. Please don't miss this site....More

I had fun to find the Battery Point Lighthouse. I had to walk on the boardwalk and then I was on the beach. We could not go to the lighthouse because it was high tide. In low tide we could walk or drive to see...More

You can visit anytime as the weather is mild year round. Check the forecast and watch for storms. I think fall is best because there are often really nice days and less tourists.

I don’t think there are any restrictions as long as the dog is on a leash.
