GOTTA GET THERE on Low Tide

When the tide is high...you are blocked from getting in. OR if the ocean is fierce, you probably won't get over there. You have to pick a good time when the tide is low. Then you... read more

When the tide is high...you are blocked from getting in. OR if the ocean is fierce, you probably won't get over there. You have to pick a good time when the tide is low. Then you can walk to a SWEEEET little light house. There is a couple who lives there during the summer months who are friendly and sweet.... More

This was a great educational tour. Really neat to see what the Lifehouse was like back in the day and how they lived on the island. I was lucky enough to come at low tide. I will be back with my family next time we pass through.

Definitely make a trip if you are a lighthouse fan. Go to at low tide to see the lighthouse and grounds and take wonderful photos.

As a local, Crescent City is known for this quaint lighthouse on a rock by the harbor. I have seen it in many paintings and viewed many of the pictures. It is a classic during the beautiful sunsets of summer and winter. It dares the giant waves of storms and 50mph gusts of wind. During low tide you can take... More

The kids like to play in the tide pools surrounding the lighthouse. They can play for hours. On this visit the lighthouse was closed, but most of the time you can tour the lighthouse.

We visited Crescent City for dinner while staying in Klamath to enjoy Redwood National Park. After a quick dinner at the Hawaiian BBQ in Crescent City (just OK) we stopped to walk around the harbor and noticed the Battery Point lighthouse in the distance. We decided to drive to the lighthouse and stay for sunset. Great walk up to the... More

We stopped first thing in the morning when no one else was there. It was just so peaceful to see the crashing waves and pretty red lighthouse. It doesn't take long to see it and well worth the time.
