There are 8 of us traveling from Texas, ages 51, 49, 40, 39, 21, 18, 18 & 16. We stayed in Crescent City for 2 nights & this was at the top of our list to visit. You have to wait for low tide to...More

Tides need to be below 3 or 4 feet to walk onto the Lighthouse's hill. Path is very rocky and uneven, so a walking stick is helpful if you have balance problems. There are several benches and picnic tables, if you want to stop and...More

Must be accessed during low tide. It wasn't open while I was there, but still worth a look around. Great spot for a picnic lunch as well. Close to town too.

Beautiful spot! We visited on a rare sunny and calm day at low tide, so we were able to walk out to the lighthouse and poke around. They have beautiful gardens surrounding a very well kept group of buildings. It's a manned light station, but...More

The lighthouse looks quite spectacular sitting up on its small island. The pink flowers on side of walkways was amazing. When you see how rocky the Coast line here is you appreciate why the lighthouse is there . With it being a working lighthouse you...More

We recently visited the Battery Point Lighthouse during the evening when the tide was out, however, we were there too late to go inside. The walk from the parking lot, down a set of wooden ramps, across a rocky beach, and up a ramp took...More

Well, we checked in at the visitor center and the staff told us the lighthouse was only open that day from 2 to 4. It is accessible only when there is low tide. It might be difficult for some people as you must walk across...More

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.
