We were visiting family for the weekend and took a walk on the trail. The trail is always a nice walk but you do have to be careful when there are freezing temps. Areas in the shade tend to stay a little slick if there has been snow or moisture. Was a beautiful walk.

Easy hike takes you through prarie and woodland and along quarries. Take time for some reflection along the way!

The Circle Trail presents the creek and the falls, which I found quite attractive. There is a branch called the Quarry Trail. Unless you are determined to have the full experience or have a personal connection to the historical/cultural significance, save yourself a few steps and minutes and skip it.

We stopped by here for a short visit on our way home to Ohio from South Dakota and stretched our legs on the trail. There was an $8 entrance fee for the adults to get into the park which grants access to the visitor center and trails. The trail had steps to take you to the top of the waterfall.... More

This is a very short 3/4 mile asphalt trail that takes you past the quarries, the Falls and beautiful granite cliffs. Be sure to take the free trail guide from the visitor's center that you return when finished. It is very helpful and makes your hike more enjoyable and interesting.

This walk passes several natural attractions, is paved, and takes less than an hour to complete. We had the trail mostly to ourselves. The waterfall was my favorite part!

We have been to the monument many times but only walked the front part of the trail This year we walked the circle trail. The falls, the creek, the prairie flowers and the rock formations are fabulous.

An easy walk through a variety of habitats. Don't forget to pick up the trail guide at the visitor's center as it provides interesting information about each point along the trail.

We walked this as part of visit to the park. We saw lots of great things on the walk. There were good signs explaining things. This is a very family friendly walk. The only downsides can be the bugs, the heat and humidity.
