The aquarium is really small but the exhibits are cool. It is definitely worth a visit in combination with the botanical gardens (both are included with admission ). Some days they will have a touch tank setup so that you can touch a stingray and shark. It's pretty neat.

It makes for a nice little field trip...and the kids love it! You can see the entire aquarium in about an hour if you don't linger too long...two hours, if you take your time. But, it's nice to have it near home and visitors love it. The bonus is that it's right next to the Bio Park, so you can... More

One of the smaller aquariums we've visited, but nice. It is included in the price of admission to the botanical gardens.

Coming from CA and being to Monterey, CA to the best Aquarium, ever, I was pleasantly surprised by the one in Albq. Not quite as big, but some great views of fish, jelly fish, a lot of stingrays, etc. It was easy to get around and our grandkids, ages 1 & 3 enjoyed it.

Although in comparison to other cities, this is a small aquarium, the city did an amazing job with the exhibits and made it a treat for people of all ages. My two daughters loved it and my wife and I loved it.

Considering where it is, there is an interesting display of sea life. The best part was the abundance of educational displays, manned by young volunteers. This enhanced our visit and would be really great for a visit with young children. The attached restaurant was really terrific! Shark Reef Cafe was some of the best food we've ever had at this... If you have been to any of the large aquariums (Atlanta, Tampa, Charleston) you will no doubt be somewhat disappointed. The big shark tank is impressive though. Some of the small tanks were fun (jellyfish, seahorses).

We had a nice afternoon at the aquarium. It's worth an hour or so, definitely a nice part of a zoo/aquarium/garden day. The shark tank was impressive. It would really help to have a touch tank. We recommend dining at the restaurant, which has tons of aquariums and the kids can wander to look at all the sea life while... More

This is a small aquarium with not a lot of flair. It is a little dungy and dim at first, but once you get to the bigger tanks, they are beautiful. The literature says to take at least an hour to make it through the aquarium, but it took us only about 30 minutes. Just outside is the Botanic Gardens.... More
