Loved taking Route 66. Roadkill memorabilia. Interesting people and lots of places to stop. Traffic was never a problem.

It's not easy to follow the Route 66. Would recommend if you're into the history of Route 66 and have relaxing drive time. Fun little nostalgia stops along the way.

We travelled west to east on route 66 and enjoyed all the trip covering a vast range of scenery as well as old, new and abandoned towns. Gran a convertible Mustang and take the cruise but do avoid the interstate and search out the historic...More

Throughout of entire trip we were on or next to Route 66. Be sure to stop into some of the shops along the route, especially if you are a Route 66 fan.

I rate it 4 out of deep respect for it being one of the longest remaining urban stretches of iconic 66. Alas, indeed shoppes have come and gone which changes its ambiance of say the '50s, but it is currently undergoing a traffic nightmare while...More

Where should we start our drive on route 66? We'll be staying at the Sheraton Uptown, or we may head to route 66 after leaving the balloon fiesta. Any suggestions? Where should we stop to shop? Eat? Thanks!

There's a few cool Route 66 signs and things in old town heading into the newer part of town. See my other reviews for places to eat and stop, I can't remember then off the top of my head now, although there is a cool ice... More
