I went with my 2-year old grandson expecting to be there a couple of hours. We were there for four hours and he didn't want to leave! The walk to the river was very pretty. We crossed a couple of bridges and came to a beautiful view of the river. There was a bench where we sat and had a... More

This is the best little place for walking. There is a bike trail and a little museum type deal. My son loved it.

The building here is an adventure to enter, small but very pleasant and on a few levels. The library/viewing study is terrific for watching water and other birds. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Gift shop has some special things.

This gem, in the North Valley is a wonderful treasure that allows visitors ranging from casual folks on a stroll, to hard-core Audubon bird-counter types, to choose and enjoy their Rio Grande Nature Center experience at whatever depth they choose. Grandparents, or others not looking for a tough hike, should know that the walk is easy with many stops to... More

One of my kid's and my favorite places to spend an afternoon! We take a backpack of treats and walk the trail, and sit by the river for a snack. It's lovely anytime of year~*~

This is such a gem! Not only does it link in to some great bisque walks, it has a delightful garden, and an amazing nature center which includes interesting exhibits about the area, interactive kids zone, great gift shop, and my favorite, a stunning indoor viewing area of the lake full of ducks and other waterfowl!

We were at the Nature Center at 10:00 am. The entrance fee is $3.00 per car. The visitors center is nice and they will give you a map of the trails. We did not see any birds and all the flowers were gone. It is not exactly picturesque. Lots of cottonwood trees shedding their leaves. The trails are nice and... More

Had only a short time to dash through here and must come back! The trails were well kept up, lots of birds and early spring flowers to see. This would not be good for strollers or scooters, in places it was quite rough.

We really enjoyed birding here for a couple of hours as we took a break from driving on our road trip. We walked into the visitor center and were immediately greeted by a smiling lady who was anxious to help us understand the property and answer our questions. We especially enjoyed the many bird feeders and the ponds with blinds... More
