Enjoyed this trip through the Stillman House. Everything was arranged as if you had stepped right out the present and back into that time. I especially liked the section in the museum they had for books and picked up a couple of interesting reads.

Inexpensive, nicely laid out, interesting exhibits and friendly staff. Good to visit on hot day in Brownsville. Visit UTRGV and Texas Southmost College campus in the morning and visit here in afternoon.

Wow, the entrepreneurship in the early days of this area. How businessmen like Stillman worked & profited by the US & Mexico during the many different wars & revolutions. If you're interested in the history of the RGV this is a "must see"

Had a rainy day with time to kill so stopped by the museum. Interesting place full of antiques and learned all about the early history of Brownsville.
