I don't know much about surfing but it was interesting to find out that there's a history of surfing on the Texas Gulf Coast. If you know more about surfing you'll probably love it. Admission is free, so if you're in the area, stop in.

Attended a private dinner for 30 at the Surf Museum. Great food and a great space for a small gathering. Unique and has some great history on the walls!

The museum is rather small but I'm not a surfer so it may be of interest to surfers. If you're in the area you may want to go but I certainly wouldn't travel too far to go.

As an old surfer from S. California, i really enjoyed the surf museum. The evolution of boards, from the long board to radicle "sticks", back to the long board and now a variety depending on where you surf. The surf museum captures it all.

Went through the Texas Surf Museum one evening and really enjoyed it. They have quite a selection of vintage boards that give an insight into the evolution of the technical side of the sport. Also a good deal of photos/memorabilia and a video display. Really...More

Interesting little place for those who love to surf as my husband did in his younger days. If you are interested in the sport, check it out. It is free and won't take long to explore.
