PINS is a very well conserved natural area that looks quite sparse, but allows for a great range of habitat strength. Go there for pure solitude, great fishing, birding, beach-combing and stargazing.

We love PINS. We started coming the past two years to watch the baby turtle releases. I grew up fishing the surf and will always be a part of the National Seashore.

Beautiful place... calm, peaceful, easy to find even for an out of towner. I would go back if I visit the area again.

This is a beautiful area to drive through, but we went through after the hurricanes and we saw so much of the devastation and debris. The community seems to have rallied well, but it will take MONTHS to fully recover.

I like walking the beaches looking for shell. The beaches are always clean, except during the sea weed gathering after a storm. That can't be helped.

We were surprised at how few people were at this beach. The entrance fee of $10 seems excessive for 'off season'. There were maybe 6 cars in the lot. the Welcome Center staff was helpful and kind. The bathrooms are ok. The changing area is...More
