Near the University of Utah. Lovingly-maintained gardens. Every turn another spectacular plot of gorgeousness! Some walks are a little steeper than others but most are not strenuous. Wear a hat and carry water if you go in the summer.

We were going to the Natural History Museum of Utah when we spied Red Butte Garden. It offers military discount and once we began we were incredibly impressed. The layout and variety of flowers and plants was extremely impressive. A total surprise!

This was a wonderful experience. We even witnessed a wedding in one of the gardens--so beautiful. My favorite area was the rose garden--the gorgeous colors and fragrance was just magical!! Highly recommend!

Our gift shop has iced coffee in bottles, coca cola products and candy bars and nut/raisin/chocolate mix snacks. Next door to Red Butte Garden is a cafe. At the bottom of Wakara Way is a Corner Bakery.
