What a view of SLC

This is an easy climb and fun quick activity. You drive to just below the peak and then hike up a well established trail for just a little ways. The view is worth it.

A short (but steep) 20 minute hike to an amazing view; the best is sunset over the Great Salt Lake when the surrounding mountains glow and the downtown lights come on. Parking is an issue, but I suspect the local neighborhood would be opposed to increased traffic.

We are visiting the SLC are for a few weeks and have been waiting for a clear day to hike up Ensign Peak. It was beautiful! It took us 20-30 minutes to hike through the snow to the top, stopping a few times to enjoy the great views of SLC and snag some photos. We went mid-day, but would love... More

This was an easy stopover and nice break on a long road trip. You could drive practically to the top, get out, stretch your legs and enjoy a nice (yet windy and chilly) view.

Takes a little work to get here - Great view of the Salt Lake Valley, but not much else -- Other attractions should get priority

This was a great quick hike with an incredible view! There was a little mud and snow on the trail, but well worth it!

This free hike is only 20-25 minutes from the base to the top. I would not recommend this for elderly people or those who struggle with mobility. Once at the top is it a great view of downtown Salt Lake City, the University of Utah, and the Great Sale Lake

Relatively easy hike up to the look-out. Beautiful view of the city and mountains. Nice bits of history at the base of the hill as well.

You don't have to hike for the view. On the way, through residential area you can stop and view from a empty housing lot. If you drive further down, you will get to the park. When you are at the park you have two options. Hike all the way up or make a left turn and you can see the... More

Climbed this in Oct 2016, For the fairly fit 60+ It's not a hard climb if you take it easy and well worth the effort for the view. Would recommend if you visit Salt Lake.
