This free hike is only 20-25 minutes from the base to the top. I would not recommend this for elderly people or those who struggle with mobility. Once at the top is it a great view of downtown Salt Lake City, the University of Utah, and the Great Sale Lake

Relatively easy hike up to the look-out. Beautiful view of the city and mountains. Nice bits of history at the base of the hill as well.

You don't have to hike for the view. On the way, through residential area you can stop and view from a empty housing lot. If you drive further down, you will get to the park. When you are at the park you have two options. Hike all the way up or make a left turn and you can see the... More

Climbed this in Oct 2016, For the fairly fit 60+ It's not a hard climb if you take it easy and well worth the effort for the view. Would recommend if you visit Salt Lake.

You cannot beat the views. A little bit of a steep hike as I was totally not dressed for it but worth it to make it to the top

This park is on the mountain top and there is a very short trail to the top. You can see all the Sale Lake City under you feet.

This is a great short hike. You can wear tennis shoes, but not flip-flops.It's very steep. Since it's at 4000 ft altitude, I had to rest a couple times on the way up. The views from the top are amazing. It is pretty windy on the top but not windy on the way up. There's also a second look out... More

Not a long walk - quite steep - and one worth making of a morning and an evening to get the best of the lighting.

Hiked over two miles from downtown Salt Lake City to get here, but worth the trip. Great view of the valley, the salt lake, and the sunset over the mountains. Really the only place walkable from the city to oversee the valley and the salt lake.

This is a really short hike, for the young and healthy it isn't even a hike. It's a steep walk with a view of SLC. I wouldn't recommend midday in summer as this is closer to the valley and it's just plain hot then. And obliviously winter seems out of the question, though I imagine it is still accessible as...
