We had never heard of Cannon Hall until told about it by our so who lives in Leeds. On our way back from holiday in Staffordshire we stopped off for the afternoon and what a surprise !! This is a great attraction not far from Barnsley. The car parking fee is £3 for all day and well worth it. The... More

Visited here on Sunday - lots to see and we enjoyed the curators tour of the special wedding dress exhibition. Would have liked more time here as we arrived later than planned and only had 2 hours before it closed.

Enjoyed our trip to Cannon Hall yesterday. We walked round the gardens (though didn't find any fairies in the fairy garden!) then went into the museum where the staff were very helpful and friendly. Had a nice lunch in the cafe and just as nice ice cream from the shop on site! Will visit again

Interesting but not exciting, free to visit, well worth taking time out to have a look round, pleasant staff, changing exhibitions.

I have visited this museum a couple of times and it is always interesting. The museum explains the story of the family and there are interesting items on display. There is a detailed display of Moorcroft pottery which is interesting. The grounds of the museum are well maintained and extensive which are enjoyable for a walk or a picnic. The... More

Had a very enjoyable day at Cannon Hall, parking cheap at £3.00 all day and ample parking. Entry into the hall was free and was well presented. Gardens and walks were very good. Facilities and places to eat were first class and very reasonably priced - although we went as a couple it would be a great day out for... More
