They were full of hospitality and have a great passion for their wines. A lovely couple that really look after you. And amazing wines! Their property is not far from Blenheim so a lovely bike ride.

Spent two days in the area. Several spots made a positive impression but Bladen outshined most. Tasty wines and the staff was phenomenal. Very enjoyable experience. Enjoy.

Great time on our bike tour around the wineries. Bladen were particularly special for their quality, size and welcome. John hosted a tasting with a small group of us and spun a good yarn. We picked up a few bottles of their Gewürztraminer 2017 and...More

A great place to try wines with the family that created them. Very laid back cellar door and great wines. Don’t miss this spot on your tour. They were rated as the best for 2017.

My fiance and I rented bikes for a day of wine tasting through the Marlborough region. We went to about four wineries, and Bladen was our favorite. It was intimate: for the first fifteen minutes or so, it was just us and the pourer, who...More

We had the opportunity to visit out of season and met Dave the owner. The fact that the winery is named after his two children says it all. Great people, great wine.

Amazing wines in general, but the Gewürtztramina was the best we tried in the region. We accidentally dropped the bottle on the cycle back (after a few too many) and the owners were really kind and offered to replace. Highly recommended!

the curse of cycling is only the risk of wine damage, otherwise the day cycling between the wineries is fantastic. we are pleased you enjoyed the Gewurztraminer as we do too. Cheers Dave

We hadn't heard of Bladen. But the wineries we were going to were closed. We were greeted with a terrific host who owns the vineyard, clean and vibrant wines that were clear expressions of Marlborough and the new world. They have a beautiful red setter...More
