You cannot leave Warkworth without experiencing the wonderful trip to Scotts Landing on the fully restored scow 'Jane Gifford'. A leisurely 3 hours trip with wonderful commentary on the areas features by David Parker including the Southern hemispheres first cement works ruins. Go on, phone Dave now for a booking.

Thoroughly enjoyed the river trip, great commentary and information from volunteer Dave, pleasant and friendly. Plenty to see, mainly on the right hand side going out. Nice and relaxing and would recommend for all ages. Did the 2 hour trip which was ample, felt that 1 hour would not have been enough.

The 3 hour cruise down the river to Scotts Landing and back is magic. The hard part comes when you are back on dry land in the real world but your head is still on the river.

Just wander down to Warkworth's river behind the Main Street shops. Jane Gifford is almost always there sitting in all her retorted glory by the dock. Wee steam boats, ducks and local flora make this a great place to sit and have a picnic lunch or get fish and chips and give the scraps to the ever waiting seagulls. Warkworth... More
