This is a great beach, you can snorkel here and we did see turtles. There is a grassy area under the trees as well, all beaches in Maui are public. There is great parking.

I have been coming to Keawakapu beach for over 30 years and it still does not disappoint. The sand, water, and view are all amazing. It continues to get busier each time I visit, but understandable as it is one of the most beautiful beaches...More

This is a very beautiful beach with views of Molokini, Kahoolawe, and Lanai, plus there's all the wildlife around to make it extra magically Hawaiian!

It's a wonderful walk from Kamaole 1 to the end of Keawakapu Beach and back. We always stop for a mid-walk swim at Keawakapu which has glorious sand, excellent swimming and way fewer people. We've often seen turtles swimming by as well.

Beautiful to walk or snorkel next to the Mana Kai Hotel. A locals' favorite. Go into the waves to boogie board or get over to the reef to snorkel on a calm morning for success. Otherwise the waves have a pretty sudden forceful break to...More

My go-to beach when I had a condo across the street. You could walk the beach down to the heart of Wailea past the Four Seasons with great views along the way (I've walked by Stallone and Rod Stewart and his family). The beach itself...More

Hidden away and mostly uncrowded. Although this is a public beach, it fronts a effluent neighborhood. The water is usually calm and can be enjoyed for swimming and weather fun. There is a shower for rinsing off and a portable potty. There is a small...More

Not sure which shave ice stand you mean, but I don't remember one within walking distance to Keawakapu. It is a bit of a walk from Kamaole 3 for instance, doable for a grownup but hard with kids or carrying beach gear... More

Beaches: You can search beaches online in your area (rent some cars if you intend to see beaches that are beyond walking distance). Some are better for kids, others for snorkeling. You can find more remote beaches and places... More
