This was a nice beach, great sand, not that rocky at all. It's right I'm front of 4 Seasons and attracts large crowds. Vendors charge $40 bucks for chairs and umbrella. There are other nicer beaches to consider nearby

This is a public beach with many expensive hotels lining the path. Entry to the beach is free, but I an not sure if there is public parking available other than the shopping centers near (1:4 mile) the beach. There are lots of turtles, great snorkeling and fun wave riding. There are plenty of beach rentals (paddle board, etc) available

spent several afternoons here. Water is fairly calm, so boogie boarding is only moderately good. Good for swimming, sitting and people watching. Can walk up to several of the different hotel restaurants for lunch, but nothing really simple in sight. Is generally quite busy, by Maui standards

I was pleasantly surprised to find this beach. Many of the beaches in Hawaii have big riptides, coral, lava or sharp rocks. This beach had umbrella, towel and chair service. Beautiful white sand mild rolling waves, easy to get in and out.of the water. The beach was also very large allowing for lots of space between guests. The beach is... More

Not sure I'd stay on this side of the island (to many resorts and trendy for my liking), but a nice place to visit for the day, and great sand for sand castles.

Very nice beach, wide with excellent sand and awesome waves. We caught days with waves as high as 10-15 feet. Super for boogie boarding. Kids had a blast!

Great for sunbathing and people watching, perhaps a little rough for snorkeling. There are calmer beaches north of here that would be better to snorkel.

Wailea beach is a nice fairly safe beach. People wade far out into the waves to coast back on inner tubes or bodyboards or just float in. Many people have lounge chairs and umbrellas. The sand is really nice. Nearby our grant hotels, with many different types of restaurants and little beach bars.
