Lots of history

Old cementary tells a lot on history of this place. Took time to visit and learned few things about past.

gravestones are getting hard to read some 250+ years on. Lichen makes for interesting patterns. The interpretive plaques are very helpful and placed at interesting distances.

This little cemetery is well worth a short stop. Loved the displays of the lives of some of the people buried here. Parking at the old Bridge is difficult. Park behind the main street to reach the entrance

Whether you like old cemeteries or not, this is a great spot. I was here twice, once when it was really windy and threatening to storm. Loved that! Near Fort Point Lighthouse.

There's something about burial grounds that soothes the soul. Of interest in this one was the pond and explanatory panel, indicating that the wealthier people were buried in the front of the cemetery while poor folks were placed in the back, often without headstones.

I grew up in Liverpool and used to take a "short cut" through this graveyard on my way home from school. Back then the old fountain/pool was a dried up cement hole with a busted old fountain. Though the grass was always clipped nothing else had been done to attract attention (except for the teens that would drink here and... More
