Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came for the wine tasting but took ROEY’s advice and let him choose for us a wonderful Merlo bottle with a cheese plater - it was the best suggestion we had in a long time. The cheese were excellent and the bread and olive oil that with it were extraordinarily. The prices are more than fair and we highly recommend this experience .

We stopped by on our way to our hotel near Haifa, just decided to pop in. we called ahead though just to make sure. the place offers tours but we opted for a wine tasting session (cost 25 NIS per person). we got a fantastic instructor - ZAHI, gave us a nice background about the winery and the history of wine production in Israel in general, also an interesting explanation on wine and the tasting process, even for us who like to drink wine quite often it had some interesting tidbits. All-in-all it was a very nice experience that was worth the stop and we even ended up buying a few bottles for home and for the trip. Thank you Zahi for a very nice session.

Definitely worth a visit during your trip. The personnel is very kind and the providing lots of details about the history of wine in Israel.

Prices are honest and the wine is a nice souvenir you could bring home after your vacation.

We were given a voucher for vip wine tasting as a present. What a great experience. Valerie was our knowledgeable guide. The history of the winery is fascinating. We finished off with great cheese vegetables and wine tasting

I went on the Carmel winery tour led by Valerie the other day. She was a wine and history buff that made the 60-min tour well worth our time. I remember the facts she shared and the three wines we tasted were refreshing to our sophisticated palette. After the tour we went to a phenomenal restaurant in the nearby town called Gila and Ayelet. I recommend going there before your tour or afterwards. The food is a 12 on a 10 pt score. And the employees are amazing. Carmel was our server and she is an impressive young woman. You must go to the Carmel Winery and Gila and Ayelet for a perfect afternoon. Go as a tourist or if you are Israeli go for an escape. You won't regret it.

It's not easy choosing from the hundreds of wineries in Israel, which one to visit. There is plenty of quality of wine to be found. If you are looking for a place which does a great job of combining excellent wine tasting with history, the Carmel winery is the place for you. The tour is charming, taking you into the original winery from over 100 years ago! The guides are excellent. And the wine is great too. The winery also has a very good restaurant or you can wander around Zichron Yaakov and enjoy the many eateries in town.

We visited this winery on my birthday. My wife mentioned this to our guide/hostess. They treated us like royalty. Champagne at 10:AM, a tour of the winery followed by lunch and a generous tasting of every wine they produce. I have visited many wineries over the years but this was by far the best tour/tasting I have ever experienced. Wonderful people, a lovely facility and truly superb wines.

Wonderful wine tasting and great prices for such excellent wine. Tsahi was fun and explained the wines quite well. Take the time to stop here - you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped by on a Friday morning. They only do tours on appointment, but we were able to have a wine tasting. Valerie explained us the history and the wines, which were excellent. Bought a couple of bottles and enjoyed our time there.
