Located only minutes from Mount Rushmore in the town of Keystone in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, the National Presidential Wax Museum is an exciting patriotic experience for the whole family. Meet over 100 lifelike wax figures...more
Someone from where we were staying recommended this and we are so glad he did. It took us through all the presidents and for the price of admission, you get an audio guide to take on your self guided tour. So worth the visit.
I love history so my son and I went one afternoon.
It was only $11 to get in and they give you an audio handset that plays as you walk through.
I guess that's the highlight. The staff looked like they would rather be anywhere...More
The title really says it all. Some of the presidents do not look like they should. It was a nice 5 minute walk. Granted, we did not listen to the audio tour information, since we couldn't bear to look at the figures for the time...More

We stopped here on a whim as our youngest wanted to see it. It is a self guided tour. You have an audio device for each 'room'. There is a scavenger hunt for kids. It was fun until you had to listen to many minutes...More
Loved this museum! We brought our kids and we all learned so much. Well laid out, great self-guided audio tour that you can do at your own pace. We enjoyed the introduction that explains how the wax figures are made.
Well worth a stop, there...More
Very good wax museum. Has hand held device to give you a self guided tour thru. White house staging area for kiddos to get a picture taken. Prices werent bad compared to Reptile World in Rapid City. $11 for adults, $9 senior and military. $6...More
Audio tour with interesting information, but generally I don’t like wax museums—find them creepy and the figures don’t always turn out so well. Kids enjoyed it, but got tired of audio after a bit. I don’t know if I would do it again.

Thanks for the feedback! Considering you say you don't like wax museums, we'll call three stars a win! Thanks for the business!
