You can stroll along the nearby canal or take in the nearby sites such as the beautiful City Hall and other architecture from the past.

Baker Park is one of the key places to be in Frederick. Whether you are having a picnic, playing baseball or frisbee, participating in one of the many festivals or 5Ks there, attending a bandshell concert or WFRE's Party in the Park, there is always something going on in Baker Park. Tennis courts, playground, baseball field, a newly-remodeled lake with... More

We go to this park all the time. They have just redone the large pond and fountain, and it has a paved path to walk on. There is a very nice playground and tons of picnic tables, overlooking Carroll Creek. Concerts are held in the summer in the band shell, which is next to a large, older playground. We enjoy... More

Baker Park has everything you want in a park. Sundays in the summer bring concerts to the band shell. The ball field and tennis courts are full of people enjoying all there is to offer. The bell tower shares the time. The creek and lakes house families of ducks. The willow tree sits in the park near the gazebo where... More

Baker Park is wonderful. Follow the Canal Creek walking trail for a nice long walk. Swim at the city pool or play tennis on the courts. There is a children's playground, many picnic tables, and there is a band shell stage/seating. Baker Park is the heart of Frederick.

Just a five minute walk down from Market street, this park is a nice mix of park, playground, sports field and refuge. I loved the greenery around the Carillon and the little fountain. It was very busy as the day I visited was the first truly nice day in weeks. Worth a visit especially if you are with your family... More

The most recent updates to Culler Lake are great and the ducks and geese have returned. It's such a wonderful place to come and relax, especially with kids. Or boys always enjoy looking at the ducks and geese. The construction around Frederick High is a distraction, but not that bad.

My husband has played tennis in Baker Park for years and I enjoy watching his matches there. The park is beautiful. There are nice walking paths and benches for relaxing. There is usually music and the fields are filled with people playing sports. It's just a nice lively activity center.
