A short but steep walk from the carpark about halfway through the loop road proved most worthwhile as this location is a Fire wathing station, our photos were excellent

Really worth the short walk. On top of this hill, you have amazing 360° views. You can see more than 100 miles away. Shiprock is right in front... (or at least, it looks that way).

This was our first stop in the park. Short walk and wonderful views! They have scopes for viewing and signs to help identify what you’re seeing.

You can drive to there, then walk a very short distance to the view point. You can walk around to get 360 degree view near and far.

Great views when you reach the top! Take your camera so you can capture the view below of Cortez! It’s a steep climb, but plenty of places to stop and rest!

From this lookout point you have great views over the Mesa Verde and into the far distance. We reconised some of the mountains and other geology in the distance.

Best vantage point in the entire park, this isn't about the cultural stuff but is about the wonderful views of things near and far. It's a quick walk up a paved trail, so bring a snack and some water and sit and take in the...More

360 degree view. Over 8,000 feet. Fire lookout is right beside you. Open for Visitors if no active fires. Not open when we were there.
