Scenic cove. Great beach.

Large parking lot makes access easy. There's only one low-end cafe on the beach so bring your own picnic. Has a public restroom, too.
What makes this beach special is the beach. A broad, sandy crescent perfect for laying out or bringing your sun chair. There are lots of boulders and cliff walls that offer some protection from the wind. The water is filled with gorgeous boulders. The water is shallow with lolling little waves and bright colors of blue and green, clear to the sandy bottom.

When you get bored of laying around, there's also a nice path winding along the cliff to a look-out point.

Virtually deserted

This beautiful beach was almost empty when we visited. There is ample parking, a cafe, toilets and a shower. Add some of the beautiful local sunshine and you have the perfect combination.

ok beach

Close to Llanes with a small car park and busy restaurant full of locals.
The beach is sandy and safe for children, but there's no surf as at low (and high?) tide there lots of rocks in the sea
In my opinion lots of better beaches nearby eg Andrin, Poo Barro...

Squashed between soaring mountains and crashing surf this is an ideal spot to stop for a coffee. The menu looks fabulous.

Beautiful right by the town

Llanes as a town is just goregous and having the beach within 100 metres is just incredible, spent a day down on the beach before popping into town for some Cidre, the perfect way to do a holiday!

This beach has a amazing landscape between rocks and sea. Also it has a beautiful views. The problem is the water, it's so clean but a bit cold.

Unusual beach near town

This is not the best swimming beach but it has a lot of interesting rock formations and sand as well. There is a viewpoint nearby and a restaurant as well. It is definitely worth the short walk from town if you are visiting Llanes for the day.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias

Depending on the tide, you will have a huge beach or none at all, but it is always spectacular. Beautiful views and short walk to nearby Llanes. Great restaurants right around the corner.

Walkable from the town of Llanes, Dramatic Rocks in the water, not really a swimmable beach and goes away at high tide
Aug 2016 • Family
It was more of a dramatic beach with big rocks in the middle of the swimming area than a beach I would recommend for swimming. I might add that the 2 days in Llanes were the only 2 rainy/overcast days of the trip - so while I went in the water briefly it was quite cold yet invigorating.

The beach was an easy 15 minute walk from town. The rocks in the water were quite dramatic, although made it harder to think about really swimming there as opposed to just getting wet.

Nice beach. The limestone crags that protrude along the beach add an interesting feature (& a easy place to change!). The sea is not great for swimming in as it is quite rocky in places. Good view of the Llanes painted cubes from the headland above the beach. All in all, a good family place to visit. There's a supermarket with a bakery about 1 mile prior which is useful for provisions. Also a beach side cafe & bar.
