Cost of 5 euros to go in but worth seeing. Large museum to go round first and the cathedral is very impressive. Tour handset explains as you go round which is very informative.

Located in the centre of the beautiful City of Guadix set in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This beautiful piece of Historical Architecture is worth seeing if you like imposing buildings. The Cathedral dominates the other buildings in the City and is situated next to an Architectural site of Roman ruins, which looks like it is still being excavated. The... More

In 1992 we visited the Cathedral in January and visited the Nativity model. Very impressive and detailed.

I am glad we stopped to see it, but, honestly, not a "must see" destination. But, if in the area, make a point to visit if you have the time.

Beautiful building with interesting statutes in a white stone offering an attractive contrast to the main building in red sandstone. It was close when we were there but if the outside is anything to go by them I am sure the inside must be just as nice. It sits on a hill overlooking the town and is next to the... More

The cathedral is quite small compared with others but noneless interesting. There is a museum if you are interested in religious artefacts. There is a lift if you have trouble with stairs. The opening times seemed a little strange - for example, we arrived just after it opened for the afternoon at about 4.30 and were told to be quick... More

Ornate, peaceful, a place of God. The museum housed within the Cathedral is very worth visiting as it has some ancient books and manuscripts which shows some of the Cathedral's history.

Good to take time away from the traffic and people and share a quiet moment in a beautiful cathedral with some history to it.

We stopped in Guadix by accident and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The cathedral is a stunning looking building and well worth a visit.
