Fun in the Sun

We walked through the park after touring the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This place isn't a destination by any means, but it's nice to see along the way to things.

I am in Piedmont Park almost every day and I always find myself enjoying it whether I'm running, working out or hanging with my family or friends. It is a terrific place to spend a few hours.

A short walk from our hotel brought us to Piedmont Park. It's a beautiful park with lake and fishing and is popular with joggers and walkers. Unfortunately, as soon as we got there, helicopters started hovering overhead, disturbing the peacefulness that we hoped to enjoy.

This is a great park for enjoying the outdoors and taking part in a variety of sports. Lots of paths to enjoy a walk or run, with soccer, football, baseball, tennis, and more if you're feeling more energetic. There was a market on the Saturday we were there and the botanical gardens are right there too. Well worth a visit... More

A great place to hang out, people watch, stretch your legs or bike and walk. Well laid out with plenty of trees and open spaces to be enjoyed by all.

Two loops of the park cover almost exactly 5 kilometers. Parts of the trail are hilly. The sceneries along the trail are beautiful and varied, from woods and greens, to the skyline of Atlanta. The park is beautiful all year round.

What a great place to unwind after sightseeing or work! Nicely laid out, with a friendly neighborhood vibe. Plenty of flowers and wildlife, pretty lake, many benches and swings.

Piedmont Park is a large grassy area with a lake in the middle and situated in Midtown Atlanta. It is a great place for families to relax, play games, and generally enjoy themselves. There are many large functions thruout the year, such as the Atlanta Arts Festival, The Atlanta Jazz Festival, etc. It contains the Jimmy Carter presidential inaugural stage... More

I loved visiting Piedmont park, it's absolutely massive and very picturesque. Living in London, I'm used to parks, however this was on a different level. I liked how you could stand in the park and see the city from where you were. I would definitely recommend visiting here. There's a restaurant in the grounds, although it was closed for a... More

I really love this park. It's a beautiful place where you can exercise, just go for a walk, maybe a picnic. The view of the downtown buildings is really pretty at the lake (specially at sunset). They also host a lot of different activities, so keep an eye out for that.
