More
Margaret Mitchell's one and only novel, "Gone with the Wind," was born in an apartment in this turn-of-the-century Tudor Revival mansion. Now a museum on the National Register of Historic Places, the house offers visitors a tour that tells the story of the author, the Pulitzer Prize-winning book and the making of the movie.

I did a self guide. It's very interesting and well worth the visit. I enjoyed the walk thru the apartment and the collection of pictures and video they have on display. A must see for any fan.

I've seen the film many times and I think there is plenty in the house for someone interested in it, and can see all various props from the movie etc. Otherwise I suspect people might think it's a little overpriced for an hour or so....More

Very special to sit in the parlour of Margaret Mitchell's home and see the spot where she "penned"/typed the amazing novel. Our guide "Bill" was awesome and made the visit much more informative and interesting.

I'll be honest, I've never read Gone With the Wind and I haven't seen the movie since I was a kid, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Margaret Mitchell house. I didn't know she had been a journalist before writing the only book...More
