These caves offer a fascinating glimpse into a past world. Aside from the amazing rock formations that have evolved over millions of years, the 32,000 year old cave paintings are a wonder to behold. Our guide enhanced the experience with his knowledge and wit. This...More

Having recently read”Sapiens”, the international best seller, it was a privilege to see first hand evidence of our hunter-gatherer ancestors. A very well led tour by a guide who knew what she was talking about and the accompanying geology was breathtaking.

This is a highly recommended visit to make. It takes a bit of forward planning but is well worth the effort. You will also need your own transport to get to this location. It is a few Kms outside the little town of Benaojan. You...More

Very nice cave to visit - no touristy frills such as coloured lights … just the beautiful and breathtaking caves themselves. The tour took over an hour. Amazing place.

Unless you are claustrophobic, have difficulty in walking (especially up steep slopes/flights of stairs), scared of the dark or frightened of bats getting caught in your hair then La Cueva de la Pileta is not something to be missed if you are in the vicinity....More

Highly recommended. Have been to other caves but this had the best paintings by far. Tours kept small (we had only 8 in our group), and the guide was able to inform in both Spanish and English. Very slick rock surfaces inside so be careful....More
