About
The immediate area is open and rather barren and rocky. A road leads down to the lovely, sandy beach sheltered on three sides by low cliffs. Mosta 5 1/2 miles, St Paul's Bay 3 miles, airport 17 miles.

Beautiful Sandy Beach & warm sea
Aug 2021
Spent several days on this beach absolutely beautiful
You can hire two beds and a umbrella for 14 Euros. There is a restaurant and takeaway facilities and food is good and reasonably priced
There are also toilet facilities near by
Give it a try you will not be disappointed

'Carry the sun lounger yourself' Terrible customer service from lounger staff
Jul 2021
Lovely beach, rude sun lounge staff. In the beach hut with real life parrots sitting around,a disinterested lad didn't acknowledge my presence and remained on his phone. 5 Euros for a lounger is not bad and you can pay on card.

I was amazed at the poor level of customer service - as a solo male on the beach - I was made to carry my own lounger to my own spot (which i had to do with one arm because I was carrying my beach bag in the other). Funny enough the beach staff weren't giving groups of girls the same treatment.

Think the whole team could learn a few things from the beach bar staff who were friendly, helpful and attentive.

Horrible beach but cute pics

You win some you lose some got great pictures here but the beach wasn’t nice. I like to spend time in the sea but this sea was cornered off and full of seaweed. The eatery was not worth the price is cost however the boat trips were good value a few of my friends said they enjoyed the lagoon trip however I never went. The shops are expensive along the path and it’s a big hill to walk up for older ones

The prettiest beach we have seen in malta. Not that the other ones are not good, but the landsacape on this one is just amazing and breathtaking. The water is warm and transparent and you can esily access it by bus. Beautiful place. Hope i can visit again ❤️

Not worth the visit
Aug 2020
beach crowded, and the sea is cornered off, so swimming is in a restricted area, Sun beds oushed together, so not brilliant in this current climate.

Soak in the fresh air blowing inland over the sea and eat a light snack at the small eatery at the bottom the hill...you will never forget the experience

Nice beach, lots of plastic around
Mar 2020 • Couples
This is a lovely spot, great onsite restaurant, however there a lot of bits of plastic being washed up, we picked up the larger bits and put them in the appropriate bins... Everyone needs to help with this

Beautiful beach in Malta
Jan 2020 • Solo
Golden Sands Beach is one of the beaches/bays located in the Northwestern region in the main island of Malta. This beach has red sand and very beautiful views of the surrounding rocks. Pitifully, there are too much buildings close to the beach, so the other bays are better.

Beautiful, but dirty.

A beautiful sandy beach, which provides watersports, beach volleyball and swimming (although it was too cold to do for me, plus being winter it wasn't all available). However it was covered in plastic and waste, which was such a disappointment! Glad I wasn't walking bare foot as I'd be scared of being cut on the many plastic bottle tops scattered under the sand. Pitty no one cleans it.

Golden Sands Beach is absolutely amazing!
Oct 2019 • Family
What an amazing place! Not only you can walk about 100 mitres into the crystal clear waters, but you can also explore the hills, rocks and hidden caves surrounding this beautiful beach. This place is ideal for children, ours couldn’t get enough of swimming in the water, as well as building sand castles. Golden Sands Bay is also perfect for snorkelling.
There’s a great restaurant on the beach “Singita”. They do lovely cocktails and great variety of food. Pizza and octopus salad were our favourite. All reasonably priced.
Finding this place was one of the highlights of Malta.
