Varied and well-maintained ski area
Mar 2020
A "miniature" 3 valleys with a great set of runs and welcoming and accomadating locals. The runs are enough to keep you busy for a week and have enough variety to keep you busy. Getting all the way from Champoluc to Alagna is not as hard as it's made out, but we did have the benefit of perfect conditions and very few people around (due to Coronavirus scare). You will have to do a couple of black runs if you want to do the full there-and-back trip, and there is still a compulsory walk from the end of Moos to the Stafal-SantAnna gondola, in order to get back to Champoluc. Also, beware the upgrade to your pass to use Indren gondola and the off-piste run down to Gabiet: this is not for the faint-hearted and you really should have a full avalanche pack and preferably a guide. Otherwise a truly fantastic resort.

Great ski area
Feb 2020 • Friends
Really good ski area with lots of reasonable reds. Be aware that on very windy days they put our signs at ski lifts advising you to return to your valley of origin as once those lifts close it can be a six hour bus trip around or an unplanned overnight stay!

Winter vibes!
Dec 2018
Had a student internship, so I experienced the pulse of cold Italy there.

Soooo beautiful village, in the winter and also in the spring / summer.

Lovely local people, good food and that positive vibe, which they have there.

If u are a skiing type of person, destination Gressoney its very much made for you.

This is a lovely area to stop and walk around
There is plenty of parking .
There is a nice village with craft shops and restaurants and some of the village is pedestrian only.

Great resort for semi and advanced skiers
Mar 2019 • Friends
We had luck to be there in March 2019 with a week of very sunny weather, a bit windy, but all in all we had great views. Ski lifts are rather new and slopes are prepared. Not a lot of people so nothing else to do, but to ski and have fun from all slopes. Many red slopes, and almost none blue ones so the resort I would recommend to people who already know how to ski, not for beginners. A fair choice of restaurants nad places to chill out. Very long slopes and very long lifts in most places.

Italian style
Feb 2019 • Friends
This was the first time I had skied in Italy after years of France and Canada. I had read that things were far more relaxed in Italy and was delighted to find this to be true. The snow was in relatively poor condition due to the warm temperatures but I still thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The lift queues were shorter in the shade ("hard packed") and longer in the sun ("softened up') but only once did we change our route to avoid repeating a long queue. The food was utterly fabulous. I look forward to going back.

One of the best

We had a pleasure to spend five days in Monterosa at perfect sunshine. Perfect slopes, good condition, excellent restaurants and not too busy. Full sun shine was relaxing, but bad for snow.

Fantastic
Feb 2019 • Friends
Fantastic ski area. Not too long queues for lifts, lovely pistes, and amazing off-piste skiing. Have been twice, will definitely go again. One time snow was fantastic, other time not so good- but skiing still very good in both! If you are an advanced skiier and want really challenging runs then this resort is probably not for you (aside from the incredible and extensive off-piste!), but if less good, or looking for more of a fun holiday with friends than an intense skiing one, this resort is fantastic.

Excellent Ski Conditions in Monterosa 21-26th Jan 2019
Jan 2019 • Friends
Superb ski conditions in Monterosa Ski Area last week, runs groomed to perfection. Despite lack of recent new snow, every run throughout the Whole Area was a pleasure to ski - huge thanks
