The reality is that as a tourist this town is even smaller than most in the region. There are a couple of restaurants that our Inn liked a lot - but which were closed during our visit.

Our 4th trip back to Montefollonico... a very simple but lovely place to stay and do day-trips from. Not crowded, and some lovely food and wine right at hand. From excellent espresso at the Sport Bar to dinners at 4 star LaChiusa without the traffic...More

The place is really hidden from tourists, but it's a must for lovers of Italt and Tuscany. There are only 3 streets, 3 restaurants and a small shop for typical products in the village. Its between Pienza and Montepulciano.

Lovely little place to wonder around and explore, doesn't take more than an hour and while the people are a little crotchety they warm up after a few minutes!

Montefolonico is a fractional town in the commune of Torrita di Seinna, ;population 750. The fact that there are 4 incredible restaurants right in the town a stone's throw away from each other attests to the presence of wealth nearby, and adequate tourist traffic. 3...More
