There is a nice auditorium where you can choose to watch short videos of each conflict. They are well done with veteran interviews.

Being here brings the sacrifice for our freedom to life. It's the perfect place to educate our children about what it costs us to live free, in this great country. The staff and the veteran volunteers are very knowledgeable and patriotic. The view from the...More

We parked off of Rowe street but there was additional parking. There is the memorial outside with the names of the fallen soldiers sorted by war and also by municipality of origin. Inside there is a museum. We did not use ur time well and...More

The war memorial is small, but very well laid out. It has the names of all the Virginians that have fought in all the wars over time. It should take about 15-20 minutes to go through it unless one wants to read the names inscribed.

Visit this wonderful memorial. The displays, the authentic memorabilia, the famous (and not so famous quotes) by past military leaders is a fantastic history lesson and a way to both remember and honor our veterans. Staff was very helpful.

A war memorial for the many Virginian Souls perished during US wars. The wall of names is both breathtaking and unnerving. The friendly and attentive staff bring this memorial to life.

A monument to World War I, this memorial was built in 1932 and stands 240 ft tall. The bells still are functional. Check on line to see when they ring. It's impressive.

I had not been to the War Memorial in decades, so was pleasantly surprised at how it had grown. We had a guided tour by one of our group's spouses. One of the vets associated with the model plane hanging in the main lobby was...More

To me, this is a holy place. The reverence is palpable-- from the care and artistry of the design, to the placement on the banks of the James. I feel very sad when I visit, seeing all those names of Virginians who have died in...More

There is parking that is easily accessed from Belvidere on both the side and back of the memorial plus there is also on street parking as well.
