I went with a women's group and had a docent led tour. We agreed that the exhibits were the most interesting part of the tour. I wish that we had more time to explore.

Parking is easy here and there is a nice cafe on site...I research here for many hours. Everyone is helpful and there are enough people and computers available to help you find what you need.

Vast library! Great for researchers. My mom does genealogy and she found some real gems of information that contributes to our family history.

Fantastic archive collections and research assistance. I attended an excellent conference on African American Genealogy and History. The workshops were informative and the library staff was helpful in all areas. I look forward to going back to do more personal research.

staff were uniformly helpful. the setting was clean and peaceful. the collections emphasize virginia (no surprise there). the restaurant was much better than i'd expected. it's conveniently located on broad street a couple of blocks from capitol square. there was no rough spot at all.
