We enjoyed this park just as much, if not more than the capital building itself. Very nice and peaceful park with walking trails, benches, fountains, monuments, etc. There's also an interesting monument honoring the civil rights movement.

We were very impressed with the Capitol Square Park area which appeared to be a favorite spot for people just to sit and enjoy nature. Fountains, walking paths and memorials make the area interesting and well worth visiting!

Wonderful place to go for a picnic style lunch. Beautiful landscaping and fountain. Lots of interesting statues, and tales of a Vampire that lived under one of the statues.

History is definitely here. Well kept and nice walking. Parking is a real problem, so parking lots/garages likely necessity.

Beautiful grounds and beautiful buildings surrounding the square. The Capitol was really one of the most attractive ones I've been in (out of 45 and counting). To be at the spot where Robert E Lee was given his commission, where Aaron Burr was tried, and...More
