A very pretty tree lined street. We parked by the JEB Stuart monument and walked down the street to the other monuments. It's quite a walk, but it's flat and easy. And the walk gave us time to admire the beautiful houses along the way. A must see!

Pretty neighborhoods, interesting architecture, history, local cafes - highly enjoyable stroll. Site of the UCI cycling race and Monument 10K. Best in the Fall on a sunny day.

It's just a wide boulevard with huge statues every block or so; but was well worth the drive. The houses lining the street are grand, huge oak trees in the centre of the street create grandeur, and the statues commemorate historical characters. It's a perfect entrance to arrive downtown.

Beautiful and scenic part of the city with beautifully kept Southern style homes, tree lined streets and impressive monuments dedicated to the pivotal figures of the Confederacy.

Yes the monuments are nice but the huge homes are totally spectacular don't know what they cost in Richmond but in Beverly Hills these would be $20,000.00 homes. Would love to see the inside

Monument is a beautiful scenic drive. They the trees, grass.flowers, and historic homes and historic places and statues are full of interesting sites. It also has more modern sites. I always enjoy taking Monument Avenue to different places.

Monument Ave in the fall is beautiful. If your on the hill looking down the Ave, it's quite pretty w all of the trees. Driving down monument Ave, you are surrounded by Richmond's old money... or at least I assume so. Very cool historic homes!!

One of our holiday traditions is to travel down Monument Avenue on a Saturday evening in December to enjoy the lights, decorations and festive celebrations spilling out of grand manor homes. Many folks display more than one Christmas tree in these large historic homes. I particularly enjoy the homes that put trees in a second floor window. I drive this... More
