I love Edgar Allan Poe. This museum was of little to no interest. It is small and has no "wow" items or moments.

Be sure to take the guided tour. Debbie does an amazing job of telling the history of Poe. Easy to see everything and learn about a favored author. Highly recommended!

This museum was much smaller than I thought. Regardless of its size, you can still wind up spending a decent amount of time here. Much of what is displayed are written works and other things to be read but there are some fascinating artwork to...More

We actually arrived here just past closing time so did not get a tour, but still enjoyed seeing this home formerly owned by Edgar Allen Poe. Of equal interest, was the courtyard and garden area attached to the home which was quite beautiful. To get...More

Wonderful museum full of Edgar Allan Poe's personal artifacts and first editions of his famous works. Saw an exhibit on Poe and metal illness. Also learned tidbits about Poe I will use in lit classes I teach.

FYI - The adjacent free lot is kinda small, and street parking can be challenging to find. Just know that you might find a spot right away, but on a busy day you could be searching a little harder and a little farther. We... More
