This is a hidden gem. We went for a weekend getaway but plan to return with the family. If you love to hike or walk through cold crystal clear water this is the perfect place. However, it would be difficult for ones with limited mobility because access to any of the amazing views requires walking on a gravel road or... More

This is a good place to come and hike for a good price of $6. It is nothing too special, but there is some good scenery and places to relax in the shade on the rocks.

Beautiful, amazing! Loved it! Lived in Texas all my life & didn't realize this was here. Went on a sunny morning in April, lots of people & dogs. They do not allow swimming or wading at the Falls, but the park has camping & another swimming area. It was perfect weather but it could get hot here. Easy hike across... More

We found our way in to the State Park and took the short hike down to the falls after we had eaten our picnic lunch we had purchased in Johnson City. We really did not know what to expect. There were several viewing areas to see the water cascading down the long expanse of rock. The falls were not the... More

Fun hike with 2 kids (3 and 6 yr) jumping on the rocks and playing with sand for few hours but we got lost for few minutes coming back from the upper pools, path was not well marked. Water fountain available by the bathrooms in the parking lot.

Enjoy our annual hikes and visits here. If you only have a little time you can just walk down to the falls and enjoy the beauty of this natural area. We had more time this trip so we hiked the 9 mile Wolf Mountain Trail with an added trail or two. The spring is a perfect time to hike here... More

We were not sure what we would see, so when we went to the ranger station to pay the entry fee we got information on what we could do in one day. It was after lunch, so the temperature had begun to climb. We decided to make the short walk to the falls. So glad we did. Very restfull and... More

Since it is a state park there is a fee to get in. It was just $6 for me but I'm not sure about anything else. You can swim, hike, fish, etc here. You have to walk some and down stairs to get to the rocks and water but it is so nice and beautiful.

We loved the winding road into the park. Saw areas where the park had burned. The day we went to the park it was not busy at all. Especially considering that you may have to wait to enter the park on certain days. We hiked down to the falls and it wasn't terribly difficult, however once you get down to... More
