A small cathedral next door to a church Santa Maria
Oct 2019
A small pleasant cathedral next door to a church Santa Maria, only in Italy can you find a church and cathedral next door to each other. As I have mentioned before the walk to the Cathedral is as pleasant as the walk round it.

Really interesting visit with knowledgeable guide
Aug 2019 • Family
Very worthwhile and interesting visit. Guided tour around the cathedral including visit to the crypt to see the church treasures. The guide spoke amazing English and was infectiously enthusiastic about the art in the church.

Interesting crypt....
Jul 2019 • Solo
The lady selling tickets was clear: if you come to pray there is free entrance, if you wish a guided tour including access to the crypt it costs a ticket. The ticket can be shown at the Stregoneria Eresie e Santa Inquisizione and will give you a discount of 25% there.
The church is nice and quickly done... Then the guide took us down to the crypt and this was interesting to see! The visit includes going up a very narrow passage, I would skip this part but the crypt is still interesting to see..

Small but great
Jun 2019 • Solo
I'm not much of an art lover or religious person but this tour is short and sweet. Plus it's in the cold shade. Look out for opening times as they don't operator on a 9 to 5 basis as they do have to use for religious services, etc. 3 Euro entry from the date I posted this. You may not get an English speaking tour guide, depends who is on hand. However, you'll get toured through the chronology and the history of the private chapels but the crypt is the best and gives you an insight into the history of the culture and traditions plus there are some bones in the wall which are really mad but worth it.

Well worth a visit
Sep 2018 • Couples
Staying in the area and went up to old town a couple of times. Glad we did.
The lady who showed us round was excellent and her English was great, she obviously knew her stuff and helped bring it all to life. Lot smaller than other cathedral and crypts I have visited but still would recommend visiting.

Different than any other cathedral
May 2018 • Family
Not a large cathedral as you might expect, small, hidden a bit even, but located magnificently in the old part of the town. You can see the ocean, feel the hard wind and go inside to discover a place of silence. You can feel it is old, you can see it is old, ... it is different from any other cathedral.
