Our visit to Arbatax was very disappointing in that the town has had a real downtown over the last decade from whence it was a thriving ferry port. However we were delighted to discover these very unusual outcrop of rocks just a 100m opposite the...More

Nice place in Arbatax - the red rocks just by the sea. Interesting stop in our journey, the kids from the town use the rocks as jumping point. We were on the way from Muravera to Cala Gonone so it was close enough to drop...More

This small rock is notable because of its red colour, it merits a visit when in Arbatax but not worth the detour.

We'd targeted Arbatax for some reason, as an overnight break during our journey from the Corsica ferry at Santa Teresa, to Cagliari. Perhaps as it was recommended in one travel guide. In truth, the town was overtly industrial, with a little local charm around the...More

Very nice place to visit in Arbatax. You can take good photos of Rocce rosse. Highly recommended visit on Sardinia.

The rock formation itself is quite nice but the unfinished walling and fenced off areas that the local commune abandoned 20 odd years ago, severely detract from making this a nice location. There is good swimming and diving for those that don't mind a rocky...More

Beautiful red rocks mixed with marble and volcanic rocks on the coast. It's possible to go in the red rocks by a little tunnel.

The heading says it all. The red rocks look really nice, but there are many other places with red rocks like this. The whole town isn't really worth visiting.

Not worth a trip but if you happen to be in Arbatax port, peek south and see the red stone scogli. In the area concerts and events are held occasionally.

The rocks look very nice, but in Arbatax this is the only thing to see. If you're just going for this it's probably noth worth it. Bit you can combine it with a boats tour from Arbatax.
