Very beautiful
Jul 2016 • Family
We went during the summer, so it was packed with people, most of them locals or national tourists. It is a small beach, but is very beautiful. The water is cristal clear. The sand is a bit rocky so I recommend you wear water shoes.

We spent a day on this beach in July '16. We paid 22€ for a lift to/from the hotel, two seats and a parasol. There is one shop selling snacks and drinks (at reasonable prices). The beach was jam packed (as expected).

The beach itself was a let-down nevertheless. It is billed as mixed sand/pebbles, but forget it. These are sharp pebbles which makes that is not very suited for small kids. On top of that, the sea drops down very sharply. The lack of a shallow part implies that kids need to be surveyed constantly. When the kid is happy, I am happy. We were happy for two hours.

Sure you have nice views here in Sirolo and it is quite an experience, but there are better beaches in Italy.

Blue waters and excellent seafood
Jul 2016 • Couples
Though the beach is not very wide and consists mainly of pebbles, it is very popular with locals and tourists alike. During summer months it can be crowded and access between 7-19 can only be done with the local bus. (Outside of the hours you can access by car). Alternatively you can make use or the navettes, local minibuses operated by the beach operators that pick you up FOC from the paid parking lot above Sassi Neri ( parking 11 euro per day). If you pre-book beds and umbrella's they pick you up FOC from your hotel/ B&B in Sirolo. We used beach operator Da Silvio to full satisfaction who in addition to sun beds and limited on-beach catering, runs an excellent restaurant right at the northern part of the beach. This place which is among the top restaurants in Sirolo offers beautiful sea views and excellent seafood for lunch and/or dinner. Highly recommended for seafood but reservation is recommended especially on Fridays and during the weekend ( even for lunch)

Beautiful fine pebbled beach with great views on Adriatic Sea!
Feb 2016 • Friends
We live in Umbria and drove over for a sunny Sunday adventure in Le Marche. We found it in Sirolo! Really loved the pebbled beach more than sand. All sizes of pebbles and close to the water fine pebbles like sand. Nice place to build cairns...and beachcomb for pebbles to take home. Long walk down on uneven steps, but what a reward at the bottom. A break water jetty allows you to walk out into the bay, explore the caves carved by the tide and just relax in the winter sun warming the experience. We have never been in summer, but imagine it is a very popular spot! We will be back!

Beautiful pebble beaches of Sassi Neri and San Michele
Aug 2015 • Couples
These are the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast. Access is difficult, down very steep cliffs. A local bus drives back and forth every half hour from Sirolo, but the last steep part one has to climb down or up (unless one takes a boat). Ristorante Da Silvio also provides transportation, only for guests of their premises. San Michele is the beach in the middle, Sassi Neri the furthest, near the mountain. The closer to the mountain the quieter it gets, but both beaches are much more quiet than the Spiaggia Urbani. There are beach chairs and umbrella's for rent. The sun leaves the beach quite early (around 4pm). The water is very clear, great for swimming and snorkling.

Spiaggia di San Michele o dei Sassi Neri
Jul 2015 • Friends
Lovely beach, however: definitely NOT for those with mobility problems or with babies in buggies, there are 126 uneven steps to the beach from the left staircase or 202 steep but more even steps on the right handside - you choose but either way if you do it under the midday sun or with high temperatures (it was 37 degrees in July 2015) it can be a bit difficult to negotiate. Also, in high season (July, August, especially at weekends) really crowded so not at its best. Lastly, bring a pair of beach shoes (not flip-flops) or other footwear as you may find walking on the stony beach and in the water very uncomfortable indeed! BUT the water is wonderfully clear with fish to chase around for snorkellers and, without the excessive crowds is a peaceful beach in a beautiful setting. The 2 bars offer a selection of decent snacks/light meals. All in all a wonderful way to enjoy this great Adriatic beach.

Sassie Neri is the farest beach from the Riviera del Conero. It's offers two commercial beaches and direct walking path from the village of Sirolo. The beach end on a big free beach wich leads almost to the end near the mountain. That's the best place for snorkling in this area. This part lies under the steep cliff with pine trees but is also the narrowest part. The beach catches sun from early morning untill about15:30 hrs.

Sirolo has three main beaches still in my opinion I sassi neri (meaning black stones ...but peebles are mainly White) is the best . You can reach it using local small buses if you park outside the main entrance or you can be picked updirectly at the hotel from some of the beach establishments (in our case Silvio) as long as you then use their premises
the half moon shaped beach is a good kilometer long and with small sized peebles. It is recommendable to wear shoes while taking a nice stroll along it . The arrival to the beach is a drive that looks more as a jump from the green nature of Conero's park into the sparking White of the beach and the deep Emerald of the sea . Once reached the beach (not adviceable for older people or for people with difficulties in moving ) you will be in a sort of peacefully enclave with sean and sky in front of you and the mediterranean fragrances coming down from the wood.
Services are well provided by the four five establishments there , with fair prices and good service . Sea gets quickly deep but provide resfreshing feeling for experienced swimmers .
Never too hot , due to its loaction sun goes down quite quickly in the afternoon.
